January 25, 2007 - 211 Cannonball Run - A structure fire already envolved before being discovered and was reported at 14:16 hours. Pushed with 40 mph wind gust and manpower shortage, the Firefighters were still able to salvage the family's furniture and personnel items. A motor vehicle accident involving an overturned truck forced HSFD HazMat personnel to close the highway for seven hours for clean up as 100 gallons of diesel fuel spilled into a SJWD water shed station. One minor injury occurred and Incident command was used to insure a smooth operation that involved six different agencies.
Firefighters from HSFD teach fire and life safety to students at the elementary school. Teachers and Faculty are always encouraged to help.
July 4, 2005 - More than 500 visitors attended the station's Ribbon Cutting and Open House which provided an inside look at the new state of the art facility.

January 2005 - More than a dozen Holly Springs Firefighters work to free a large calf who had became trapped in a river after it became submerged and a tree fell on top of her. The owner had been missing the calf to 2 days before discovering her trapped. He had worked to free her for several hours before contacting the fire station for assistance. The firefighters worked for 2 hours before freeing the calf. Incidents like this show the dedication the volunteers have to helping their neighbor in any circumstance.

July 29, 2004 - Dispatched for aircraft crash. Upon arrival of first engine crew, found single engine 4 seater nose down in residential area. Luckily the passengers escaped with only minor injuries. Scene was secured and FAA responded to investigate. Photos by Julie Jeffcoat

Engine Companies arrive to find fully involved out building. The building was already destroyed by the time the fire was discovered. However all surrounding property was saved.

Upon arrival of first Engine Crews to this structure fire on
Farms Bridge road, the resident report that two individuals were trapped
inside. Incident command was established and "Victim Trapped" protocol went
into effect. The fire was extinguished quickly leaving 75% of the structure
saved. Fortunately, no one was injured in the blaze. HSVFD was assisted by

On June 23rd, 2004, the Holly Springs Fire Department demostrated fire prevention practices to the Little Mountain Baptist Church bible school program.
