To be a volunteer for the Holly Springs Fire-Rescue District, you must meet the following criteria.
- Minimum of 18 years of age. (Exception of the Jr. Program)
- Reside no more than 3 miles from district line
- Maintain a minimum of 15% or calls, meetings, and trainings.
- Commit to a training program.
- Maintain a neat & clean appearance
- Successful criminal background Check (Applicants whom with felony, arson, regardless of time frame are prohibited per S.C. Statue Section 40-80-20)
o Theft or fraud related incidents, or false incident reporting incidents, domestic related incidents, or other types of incidents shall not be eligible for any type of employment with HSFD.
However an extended time frame since the incident(s) occurred or special permission from the Commission board after a review of the incident may be inconsideration.
Each incident may be reviewed on a case by case bases.
- Submit application and complete an interview process.
When supervision is available, the Holly Springs Fire-Rescue District sponsors a Fire Explorer (aka Jr. Firefighter) program.
